3 Useful tips for using Job Mail on your mobile device

Job Mail is South Africa’s Number 1 portal and has been around since 1997. Over the years we have connected thousands of job seekers and employers. Because we are constantly looking at creative ways to improve the Job Mail experience we launched our mobile site in 2006. Thanks to this recruiters are now placing job ads via their mobile devices and thousands of job seekers are now browsing, searching and applying for jobs on their phones and tablet PC’s.

Hunting for jobs on your mobile phone / tablet is quite a liberating experience. There’s no need to buy a PC and obtain an internet connection. No more visits to your local internet cafe either. Just use your cellphone or tablet – it’s quick, it’s easy and convenient. We do realize that some of you may be struggling to access Job Mail on your mobile devices and because we care we are providing you with 3 useful tips today.

1. If the Job Mail site is not displaying correctly, make sure you’re accessing the mobile version of the site:

Most mobile phones and tablets will display the Job Mail mobile site correctly, but some of the older mobile phones may not. If the site is not displaying correctly, make sure that you type in one of the following addresses on your mobile device: www.jobmail.co.za/mobile or m.jobmail.co.za. Both these web addresses are valid access points for the mobile version of Job Mail.

2. Remember: You don’t need a PC to register as a job seeker and browse, search and apply for jobs:

If you’re not registered on Job Mail yet and you’re using a mobile device, click here to start the process. If you are already registered on Job Mail, log in, browse or search for jobs and apply for them directly on your mobile device. We also offer you the option upload your CV onto your Job Mail profile via your mobile phone, click here if you need more info about it.

3. If you are experiencing technical issues when you’re using Job Mail, please report them to us:

E-mail our Webmaster via jobmaster@jobmail.co.za and explain what the issues are. Make sure that you include the make and model of the mobile device you’re using is (eg Blackberry Curve 8520), so we can investigate and fix the problem.

      Hi Prince,

      It all depends on the institution you will be studying at, since each will have their own requirements. We’d like to suggest that you pick a university or college that provides the courses you need then get in touch with them to discuss the details.
