Stay updated with Job Mail RSS Feeds
Are you job hunting and struggling to stay updated with the latest job listings on Job Mail? Well, today I have some great news for you. Job Mail has introduced RSS feeds on the Job Mail website to make things a little easier for you.
So, what is an RSS Feed? Well, subscribing to a website’s RSS feed removes the need for the user to manually check the website for new content. Instead, their browser / feed reader software constantly monitors the website and informs them of updates. A web browser / e-mail client can also be commanded to automatically download the new data for the user.
All you need to know is that RSS feeds are a great way to stay updated with what’s going down on your favorite websites because they notify you when they have been updated. Great news is that Job Mail has introduced this feature for each main job field category and all sub categories for each region on the Job Mail website.
So, how do the RSS feeds on Job Mail work?
For argument’s sake, let’s say that you’re looking for the latest Admin / PA / Secretary jobs in Gauteng.
Step 1: Find the RSS feed that contains the info you need. Start by clicking on the Gauteng link on the Job Mail home page (see screenshot below):
Step 2: On the next screen click on the Admin / PA / Secretary Link. Take note: You can click on any of the job field category or any of the job sub categories to obtain an RSS feed link.
Step 3: Find the RSS feed link on the next page. It’s indicated by the Orange RSS Icon in the screenshot below. Take note that you’ll find the RSS icon on pages when you’re searching for jobs via keyword as well. So, yes, we’ve added RSS feeds for job searches on Job Mail as well.
Take note: If you are using Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox to browse Job Mail you will get options to subscribe to the RSS feed. Mozilla Firefox gives you an option to add the feed to your “Live Bookmarks” and Internet Explorer gives you an option to “Subscribe to this feed”. You will receive updates as you are browsing the web automatically on these browsers when new jobs are added to the job field on the Job Mail website.
Also take note: If you click on the icon directly on the Google Chrome browser the feed will not display correctly. To avoid this from happening, right click on the feed icon and click on “Copy Link Address” and paste the address (Control V or right click paste) into the address bar in Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer and subscribe to the feeds via the methods explained in the previous paragraph.
Alternatively paste the address into your account on Feed.ly (or any other feed aggregator). When ever you access your Feed.ly (or other feed aggregator account) you will be able to read the feed and find the links for the latest job listings. You can also add a RSS feed address to your Microsoft Outlook e-mail client.
Well, there you have it. Now you know how to stay updated with Job Mail RSS feeds. So browse for jobs and subscribe to our RSS feeds today!
