Share Your Success Story With Job Mail
Calling on all Job Seekers and Employers! It’s time to get your creative writing skills together and tell us why Job Mail is working for you. In short, we want you to share your success story with us while using Job Mail.
Be it either Job Seeker or Recruiter; we want you to tell us if you have found a job via Job Mail, or have you found that perfect candidate that you were looking for on our site?
Now of course there will be something in it for you… If you are a Job Seeker; share your best success stories while using Job Mail, maybe you found your perfect job or found something out of your skill set that you love. The user with the best success story will receive a cash prize of R1000 to help you with your journey or just some pocket money.
As for the recruiters, you will also benefit from the prize that we have to offer. Recruiters with the best success stories on “Why Job Mail works for me” will stand a chance to win a banner/button on our Job Mail mobile site with 50 000 impressions for a week. This will most definitely help you with that extra exposure and getting your name out there.
The competition will run from the 8th of October until the 26th of October and winners will be announced on a weekly basis. Each week will have a winner, so if you don’t win the first week you can always share another story with us for the upcoming week.
How to submit your success story.
You have the following two options. You can either submit your “Why Job Mail works for me” story on our blog underneath this post, or alternatively you can post it on our Job Mail Facebook page or on the Recruiters page. We will select the best stories on a weekly basis and winners will be announced every Friday.
Be sure to have a look at the terms and conditions below regarding the rules and regulations for the competition and entries.

Share your Success Stories Terms and Conditions
- This competition is open to all South Africans currently residing in South Africa.
- Only one success story per entry is allowed (but feel free to enter as many times as you want).
- Entries should not be longer than 2000 characters. Entries longer than 2000 characters will not be in consideration for the prize.
- In your success story you need to state whether you are a Job Seeker, an Employer, or a Premium Employer.
- The winner will be announced at 13:00 every Friday on the Job Mail Facebook page and the winner will be emailed to arrange prize pick-up. First announcement will be on the 12th October.
- The winner must be able to provide details so that the cash prize can be transferred or it can be collected from one of the Junk Mail regional offices. The winner will need a valid South African ID document in order to receive the prize. No international deliveries will be made.
- If the winner does not respond to the news of his/her prize within 2 working days, then he/she forfeits the prize and there will be a re-draw and new winner announcement.
- Upon re-draw, the winner will follow the same points mentioned above.
- Competition not available to any director, member, partner, employee, agent, or consultant to the promoter, or is so linked to the supplier of the goods or services that are connected with the competition.
- The entrants acknowledge that Junk Mail Publishing accepts no responsibility for any harm, damage, illness or injury that may occur as a result claiming the prize.

Hi Elize – Hang in there. Don’t lose hope. There are many South Africans who don’t have jobs, the market is volatile. Make sure that your CV is at 100%. Apply for many positions and if no-one contacts you back, follow up with them. Check on the status of your applications. The key is to be pro-active in your job hunt. Good luck with your journey ahead.
Am unemployed but I look like a person whose Working cause jobmail assist me to plan my day with the motivation word that it gives us every day so every morning when I wake up I know how must I face the difficulties of the day and also encourage me to not lose Hope and Faith. I was not working on 2006 I saw a an article on Job Mail,,the department of Education in Western Cape was looking for Teacher Assistant I did apply on the Department of Education and they take me and I was get a training after 3years I was get a NQF Level 5 education certificate so I thank to Job mail for advertising the job on papers

hi, i wasn’t working just after finishing my in-service training for about a year. i had no money to buy news paper during that time. i tried to have only R5 everyday so that i can walk for 30km every day to an internet cafe. job mail helped me to secure my first position as a plant operator in 2006 then technician operator position in 2009, now my goal is to move to a top position and through job mail i’ve already started receiving calls from employers looking for my skills. i thank job mail for everything it’s doing since i started using it in 2006.I do believe that am going to get my dream job through Job Mail. I have been with Job Mail since 2005 when I started college. I have applied for many positions via Job Mail and have been to a few interviews.
This year as I was about to give up in applying for employment I got an Alert about my matching job criteria, I applied and within two days I was called for an interview. I got the job after 3 interviews, even thou it is not a permanent position, they are giving me a chance to study further and there is a good chance for me to become permanent next year after finishing my course.

I don’t have much to say but i’ve got much to thankful a Job Mail for the miracle they have done for me.i used to market the job by myself but ive turned down by the security officers at the gate by telling me the is no job here without even see the management of the company.But today I am a senior reaction officer under security industrial, they used to turned me down at the gate today I am their senior, so Job Mail have done a lot to me I’ve got 5 months now being registered as a job seeker but I am already employed due to Job Mail. I always buy data bundles as I’m using an HTC phone so that I can access to go open my e-mails as i know Job Mail has already sent me the good news.

after receiving a call for an interview a few days before the interview in august I went through your blog as I wanted tips of what to do and what not to do in an interview as it was my first ever job interview and after reading the 5 quick job hunting tips for job seekers,point number 4 were it says before your interview make sure you research,plan and prepare and also the 5 tips for interview success,I did that and to my suprise I was asked to give a brief explanation of what the company is about as I was told since am a student and dont have any experience theres nothing major to ask and I landed a vacation job for the coming december holidays and will be put on the waiting list for next years job openings as am a final year student..The pacticing of questions before hand as helped with my confidence as I am a shy person.Thanks guys

Jobhunting can be such a tedious task, being in recruitment myself it was quite different to be on the other side of the interview table for a change. I was unemployed for 9 months after having to close my very own recruitment business and suddenly the tables were turned. I found myself in quite a tough spot, and then a beacon of hope, Jobmail which allowed me to browse online and then also buy the print edition every fortnight (sometimes its nice to sit with your red pen and encircle all the ads like in the movies :)). Before I knew it I had an interview lined up for almost every day of the week, as employers were also able to see my CV online.
