Meet the Robots reading your resume (Infographic)
Did you know that there are robots among us? These robots are on the internet and crawl through thousands of CV’s every single hour of every single day. Sadly I can’t post a picture of one of them because they are in cyberspace (like Sky Net in the Terminator movies), but I can imagine that one of them probably looks like this…
Take note that most big companies use ATS (or applicant tracking software) to sift through CV submissions. This software is mainly used to analyze titles, dates and descriptions from CV’s to evaluate a potential candidate’s depth, basically checking to see if a CV is fit for human eyes.
This is just one more reason you should have a clean digital footprint and an impressive CV in the digital age that we live in today. When posting your CV online you should be asking yourself “who, or what am I trying to impress?”.
HireRight have put together this infographic entitled “Meet the Robots reading your resume”. This infographic gives some handy tips on what you should be doing, and more importantly, what you should definitely NOT be doing to make your CV / resume as “robot-friendly” as possible. We trust that you will find this information useful.
