And the Job Well Done Award goes to… the SAPS

Job Well Done

Today we’re presenting the first ever Job Mail Job Well Done Award to the South African Police Service (SAPS). There was a hijacking incident on the 16th of November 2013 at the corner of Commissioner and Crown streets in the Johannesburg CBD. The whole incident was caught on CCTV and the video was posted on YouTube.

Two men from one car and two from the other car got out and ordered a family to get out of the car. The robbers took two cellphones and stole cash. The assailants were armed. A VW Polo cut in front of a Toyota and an Opel Corsa parked behind it. In the video there appears to be four occupants in the Toyota. Great News is that this morning 4 suspects were arrested for this horrible crime by the SAPS!

The most shocking part of the whole incident is that it happened in broad daylight. It comes as no surprise that there was a huge public outcry against this and that the video went viral on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and all other major social networks.

We’re presenting our first Job Well Done Award to the SAPS for their quick  reaction. Congratulations! South Africa needs more people like you!
