How to find your dream job

Medical-careers-South-Africa

Finding a job online can sometimes be just like online dating. It has become simple for you to just go online, whether you do this through the use of the computer or your phone, and easily find any job. However, the difficult task is finding your ‘dream’ job.

A dream job is one that will give you great job-satisfaction, but it is also one that pays a salary that can cover your needs as well as your wants.

But this kind of job can be very challenging to find…

Here are a few tips to help you find the job that will match your desires:

When you are looking for a job, before anything else, you need to be clear about what you are looking for. For instance, if you are looking for a position in the medical field, you need to be clear about what you are looking for. Do you want to be a Nurse? A Pharmacist or a Medical Representative? You need to be clear on your goals, so that it can become much easier for you to find what you are looking for.

This leads you to the second step which is to ensure that you have the right qualifications and experience to do this job. Medical careers are one of the many careers that demand experience and qualification. With the right qualifications and experience, you can be ‘demanding’ with your salary (within limits of course).

Qualifications and experience are the traits that you will need to find your dream job.

Another thing about dream jobs is that, they require time and patience to find. In order for you to have the right experience and qualifications, you need to study. These days, a degree isn’t enough. Try by all means to get more knowledgeable about your career choice. You can get certificates, honours and even masters.

Then there is the experience. When you start out in your career, your mentality should be set on acquiring as much experience as possible. In medical careers, before you get into the working environment you get the chance to practice in the field.

This is an amazing opportunity because you get the chance to experience the career even before you can start earning a salary. This prepares you for the future and when you go for your first official interview you have enough experience to prove that you can really do this job.

You can find your dream job in South Africa, all you need is determination, experience and qualification, especially for medical careers.

Hi Donald – Offer to work for free or for minimal pay to build up experience or look around for part time jobs that you can do.

You are just on point. We all want success. I want to succeed and get a good job that pays a good salary, and that satisfies me, my needs and my wants.

I want a good life to and enjoy it. Yet, the big challenge for some of us (who only have matric and no other qualification or skill) is that we can’t get our dream jobs due to our lack of skill and education. We also hardly pursue our dreams because after matric we have to try and get any job we can possible get, because our families can’t afford to take us to tertiary schools. It’s even harder for those who don’t have matric. That’s why you find many of us working general and unprofessional jobs, because life must go on or else we’ll starve.

I have passed my matric with merit in Newcastle in 2002. I have tried to get bursaries (I still try to get them today), but I have never gotten one – not even a promise. That’s where I chose to live in the now and today. I just accepted that maybe this is the life God has set for me – not to succeed even I have smart brain. We do general jobs to prevent ourselves from starving. We just ignore successful people when they call us names and look down on us… life turns like s wheel.
