What is the Career Expo?
As the only national public exhibition of its kind in South Africa, the Career Expo is an event held across the country that is not to be missed by learners. This is an opportunity for learners and their guardians or parents to explore the different careers that are out there. They’ll gain insight into different career options and learn more about tertiary institutes in South Africa. The expo provides learners with access to information on university courses, financial support, and accommodation.
Primary school children and their parents or guardians can benefit from information about the different high schools they may choose to attend. They’ll also discover tools on how to succeed at high school if they attend the expo. Other relevant topics include admission criteria and extracurricular activities. Learners can also find out more about the special programs the various high schools offer.
At the core of this expo is a dedication to promoting education in South Africa and ensuring that the relevant information is accessible so that learners can make the right choices. The 2019 Career Expo is sponsored by SABS Education and it aims to make this information accessible to every learner in South Africa, including under-resourced schools, small schools, and homeschooled learners.
